Our company
EAF is a family business with its headquarters in Hamburg. We have been offering transport solutions to all regions of Africa for over 25 years. Our well-trained EAF team supports companies from all over the world with individual transport concepts and solutions to and from Africa as well as worldwide. Our EAF network consists of a long-standing partner network based on personal contacts in all major trading hubs in Africa, Asia, America, Middle East, and Europe.
Our history
In 1995, Martin Wilbrandt founded the company European Air Freight (D.) GmbH (EAF) in Hamburg, Germany, and together with his partners established the joint venture locations in Lagos and Accra. Initially, the focus was on air freight to and from West Africa. Today, EAF offers complete worldwide freight concepts and coordinates cross-trade solutions. Thus, both the worldwide EAF network and the customized product range have grown throughout the years. For five years now the freight forwarding company has been a leader in transport from Europe to East Africa. From Kenya the company regularly serves the surrounding destinations of Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Mozambique. In the last two years the Central and South America region has been the focus of the company’s expansion, especially in the development in project business. In 2018, EAF received ISO 9001 certification and is continuously working to digitalise its internal processes and make them more efficient.

EAF is an accredited IATA AGENT; member of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Hamburg Freight Forwarders as well as the Foreign Chamber of Commerce Nigeria (AHK) and the GBA Kenya (German Business Association).
